Hello all.
I'm a long-time lurker...first-time poster.
I offer my deepest gratitude to this community for all the crucial information that I have gained about my HD100. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with me!
I chose to edit with Vegas 7, as I've read it is currently the most stable NLE for 720/24p. I love the software so far, but I'm having capture issues.
During capture (Native 720/24p), from my HD50 deck (firewire), Vegas recognizes that a device is there but does not allow me to control it remotely. When I capture manually, picture and audio hit the timeline perfectly. But once I begin to edit, sync is lost and the image begins to stutter.
My question: Do I need any drivers for the JVC deck to get this system in order? My PC has all the latest MS updates, but I feel as though I am missing something. Finally, the device manager does not give me any "JVC" options. My only choice is the "AV/C subunit". Is this normal?
