Wow...all I can say is wow. I went from a dv pro camera to this and wow...this camera is nothing short of amazing in my opinion. Unbelievable. I have shot only 5 min with it in good sunset light and captured to my computer and was stunned. DV to HDV is nothing short of amazing. Although render times suck, not that much is HD currently so when HD burners come out I will update a new rendering computer..even though I just bought a new one for rendering. Anyway I couldnt resist sharing how much I already love this camera with only 5 min of shooting. More to come and lots to learn. I have downloaded all the presets from this forum I could get my hands on...thanks a lot guys and gals. This forum is great....my new favorite forum. I will post a few shots of my rig setup here shortly. Thanks to everyone that make this particular part of the forum amazing for us xh a1 owners. I look forward to learning from you. Thanks again.

It's great to hear you like your new A1, I should get mine Monday. Please share all the ins and outs you discover being a new owner.

It is amazingly good for the money, isn't it.

You shouldn't have any long rendering until you've finished editing to export as a QT or whatever. My first attempt wanted to render, but I found I had the sequence settings different from the capture settings.

Trent and Todd... Congrats to both of you on your purchases. It is a great camera. The L lens is fantastic and the fact that you can pretty much tweak the camera for nearly any result you are looking for makes it especially great. Plus this forum has such helpful contributors, that you know your are never alone. It becomes a selling point for the camera really.

Enjoy!!!

The XHA1 really is an extraordinary cam. Very flexible in what it can do. I use mine to shoot mostly training videos, some event stuff. It's not ever let me down, and that BP970G battery (a MUST HAVE) will last all day.
