I've searched through the forums about this subject but I haven't found the answers I'm looking for. Mostly I've found suggestions for preventing the problem. I've now bought into the iRiver set-up.
I shot a wedding outside for the first time and I needed to use my wireless mic. To make a long story shot. I checked them before the ceremony, they were fine. During the ceremony I got tons of interference and the audio would even cut out completely at times. I'm sure this was due to cellphones and digital cameras. As soon as a guest with a camera started taking pictures (directly next to me) i got the loud clicking signal.
I let the couple know and they don't seem be too worried about the situation. I don't think they quite know how bad it is. The good thing is the vows came in clear for some reason.
I've done a lot of experimenting using audio filters and effects but nothings seems to change strength of the static. I'm looking for an effective way to reduce audio static if possible. I realize I'm not gonna be able to get rid of the static completely. Which filter works the best for this type of thing? Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Sean
