I will be filiming mostly in the Los Angeles area, and have no idea what frequency range I should choose for a wireless lav system.
Sennheiser's G2 100 has the following frequency choices:
A 518-554 Mhz
B 626-662 Mhz
C 740-776 Mhz
Sony's UWP-C1 has the following:
62 758-782 Mhz
66 782-806 Mhz
Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks so much for the link. I poked around Sennheiser's website, but couldn't the info..
BTW, I spoke with some folks out here and they said that Senn's A or B frequency range are best for the West coast while C is best for the East coast.
The chart doesn't really show C at a disadvantage in California, but to be on the safe side I'm going with A.

I have the G2 and it's range B on 600mhz in Los Angeles. When you look at the chart it appears that range A would be better, but the dude that sold it to me... that's all he had. I've had No problems with the units... in fact, very easy to use. There are a lot of preset frequencys to chose from, and the receiver will scan and look for an open frequency. Then set the Transmitter the same. If that doesn't work, you can manual tune then to a slight offset frequency. Also leave the pilot on.
Heard something on the radio about broadcasters getting off UHF in the future, so these bands might start opening up a little, unless Google buys the bands and starts doing something..........

So how do you read the charts? Is it best to use ones as far away from stations as possible? Are there any updated ones as well? These are all from 2005
