Between UPS and FEDEX it seems there's a game being played as to which of them can get away with charging the most for postage of the smallest ... present contender for first prize must be:

Petrol 2.5" Diameter Mini Hood for LCD cost $18.95 (weighs 0.8 ounce)

Postage $39.50

... and when it reaches Ireland I am charged another minimum fee and value added tax (@ 21%) on both fees & the little hood.

Can anyone point me towards a UK or EU supplier of the calibre of B&H or Adorama ? Amazon.co.uk does not seem to recognise what Amazon.com has to offer!!

I've found these on the Jessops web site, but you would have modify them with some Velcro to attach to a pop out LCD screen.

Jessops offered me a few metal flap hoods but they required to be stuck to the front frame of the LCD, thereby obstructing access to some controls on the HV20. In response to a request for something similar to the Petrol Mini-hood Jessops admitted they did not have anything to offer.

Perhaps if I was dexterous enough I could do a velcro job on something ... I think I'll ask my local tailor who is a resourceful person if he could duplicate the Minihood.
