I am not sure if this made it here, but I thought I would post this, and hope that it helps anyone here with ingest issues.

As an HD110U owner, and Final Cut Pro user, I hate, HATE that FCP breaks up my tape into dozens of mini clips, and also give me dropped frames, capture issues, and more.

While surfing the forums, and finding that the 200 series got a firmware update but we did not, I did some google searching and found this.

http://pro.jvc.com/pro/attributes/HDTV/soft/100110_upgrade/index.html

A do it yourself Firmware update for your 100/110 camera.

Easy to read/easy to follow guide, tells you how to check your firmware, how to do it, and what to expect, including what not to do.

I am in the process of installing it right now, I am waiting for it to finish, I will then pop in a tape and ingest some footage with alot of start/stops to see if it gives me a single clip.

I hope that my find can help any other 100/110 owners. I hope it helps me.

Hmm, must be really tired. I did not notice the sticky up top with the same info.

My bad, maybe I should go to sleep sometime this week.
