Douglas Spotted Eagle August 7th, 2007, 07:46 PM Still there...look in your FX tab, under the "C's" Fred Foronda August 7th, 2007, 07:51 PM Still there...look in your FX tab, under the "C's" Nope not there... Mike Kujbida August 7th, 2007, 09:22 PM I just tried all 3 FX places (in 7.0d) and it's there in all of them. Since Sony took over though, it's been called Sony Cookie Cutter. Fred Foronda August 7th, 2007, 10:02 PM I normally go to the fx tab and its there. The last time I used "cookie cutter" was when it was still Vegas 6. How can I get it back? Douglas Spotted Eagle August 7th, 2007, 10:08 PM I can't think of any conceivable way you could have deleted it. Select the FX button on an event or track. See if you can find it in that particular view. Just for kicks, I tried deleting a plug in one of the views (hadn't ever tried this before) and couldn't do it. If nothing else, do a reset of Vegas. Fred Foronda August 7th, 2007, 10:12 PM I'm gonna do a rest then. Okay all done. I noticed there are more lisitngs under the Video FX now....what's going on?!!? You think its the upgrade? Its now Vegas 7 right out of the box. Gonna update to 7e and see what happens. Udated to 7e everything looks okay now. Strange. Robert Brandon August 8th, 2007, 02:18 PM Do you mind explaining a little how you blur faces with this filter? Or possibly you could direct me to a tutorial that makes it easy. Seems every method Ive come across didnt really work for me. Thanks! Edward Troxel August 8th, 2007, 03:31 PM Vol 1 #12 of my newsletters (http://www.jetdv.com) explains the process in full. Terry Esslinger August 8th, 2007, 03:36 PM PLace video on track one. Place same video on track 2 and add blur to it. When you play this you will just see the clear video from track 1. Now place cookie cutter Fx on track 1 and create oval (or round etc) shape and place it over area you want blurred. Add a little blur to the edges of the cooke cutter and you have hidden your face on that porn video :>) Robert Brandon August 8th, 2007, 03:53 PM Cool! Thanks! Now, one more question. What if the face is moving alot? Is there a feasible way to blur a moving object? (Not a Penis! LOL) Edward Troxel August 8th, 2007, 08:17 PM You will need to use keyframes to control the movement of the cookie cutter. Robert Brandon August 8th, 2007, 09:30 PM Edward, Just read your tutorial and it makes sense now. Thanks! By the way, your tutorials are a God-send. I really appreciate your efforts. Bill Westbury August 9th, 2007, 07:07 AM I second that about Edwards newsletters. Excellent help for us newbies! Edward, are you going to do any more? It's been awhile since the last one, unless I just didn't see the current ones... Edward Troxel August 9th, 2007, 07:09 AM I plan to do more. It's mainly been a matter of time. Things have been really busy since the last issue. I have another one started but just haven't gotten it finished yet. Robert Brandon August 9th, 2007, 12:35 PM Can't wait Edward. Man, I feel like I should send you a Christmas gift or something! Patiently waiting... David Jasany August 10th, 2007, 07:30 AM Edward, I'm also a big fan of your newsletters. Please keep 'em coming! |
