View Full Version : Vegas render crashes everytime 3D source alpha is in use in HD rezs

I've been getting pretty peeved off about that everytime I render in a HD resolution and use 3D alpha with 3D keyframes (Or high speed keyframes in Vegas 6), Vegas always crashes, and I mean every single time.

Now all I want to know is... Why?

Is it a buffer overload?

Is it that Vegas (both 6 and 7, I've tried on both with zero success.) can't handle it?

Is it because I'm compressing the render and that I should render uncompressed? (in that case, I cannot render the uncompressed to a compressed format or it'll crash again...)

Is it my GPU (which is only 128MB on both of the machines I have)?

----

How come I see all these wonderful 3D effects done on Avid and Vegas can't even handle it? (venting steam...)

I need an answer...

It's not the GPU. Vegas doesn't use it.

Have you tried reducing the number of rendering threads in the preferences? I believe the default is 4. Try reducing it to 1 for this render.

Have you tried reducing the "RAM Preview" amount?

Wow, it worked!

After setting the ram to 0 and making the render thread number 1, It did it!

Wow, thanks!
