Is there any way to turn off looping completely. It gets in my way alot and some reason if I forget it will loop a short amount because I cant get it to where I can uncheck it in the render screen to render looped region only.

Options - Prefs - Editing.
Make sure Collapse loop region when no time selection is present is checked.
Does this do it for you?
