Hi there,
I'm pretty new to digital video, so I appreciate your patience in advance!
I have a Canon GL2. This weekend, I am filming several interviews in a studio - some with one person, some with two people. We have one wireless lav mic at our disposal, but this won't work for the two-person interviews. (or will it?)
Assuming it won't, I see two options. 1 - rent a second lav mic, or 2 - rent a boom mic/shotgun mic. (First silly question: is a boom mic just a shotgun on a stick?)
Anyway, which option seems more reasonable? I've called some rental places about shotgun mics, and they said that since my camera only has an 1/8" jack, I would need an XLR adapter box before we could talk.
But if we go the route of two wireless lav mics, how would that work with my camera? We don't have an audio mixer or anything - we're just recording sound through the camera. This may be the silliest question yet, but is it possible for two wireless mics to work with one receiver?
Thanks sooo much for your help.
Sara
