yes , but in most case, if camera are not all the same distance, they are going progressively in and out from the object.
the only effect will be a slight (and progressive) zoom that will look natural, and you can choose to comensate or not.
with an horizontal ruler, only the camera see the ruler at full length, the other see a shorter one, because perspective. if you compensate for this, you introduce a non natural zoom effect very more visible, since at only 30degrees the ruler will be seen 30percent shorter.

Stabilization software can fix the cameras not being precisely aligned...and is probably cheaper than the therapy sessions it would take to fix it by hand either before or after the shoot.

Get it as close as you can by hand, then throw shake or combustion or AE at it...it will come out peachy.

Your "zoom in.m2v" file has just started to work for me, after installed Quicktime Alternative 1.81.

...I see nothing wrong with it. Other than some color correction issues of course.
