Cutting Letus w/ non-Letus footage?
In your opinion, can Letus35 HDV footage be combined with "regular" HDV fotage shot from a B camera? There seems a different "feel" to the 35mm shots I see posted, a little softer? Maybe a little more muted color?
All opinons welcome, need to decide how to schedule a quickly approaching shoot. Thanks. |
I've posted this one a few too many times such that some may think me a serial pest.
This clip was shot with four cameras of two family types, Sony HDV, one with AGUS35, one without as the wide master and Canon MiniDV, one as the second wide, the other with a LETUS35 FLIP for Canon XL on front as roving/close-up cam. http://www.brightcove.com/title.jsp?title=570589631 No colour correction or exposure adjustment was done in assembly-edit. Ligthing conditions were not good with all lighting from overhead pin spots and spill from the mixing booth. Use the 35mm adaptor for the close-ups. Any reduced resolution will be less apparent. The Kill Devil Hills Clip at the same site was done with two Sony HDVs and a PD150 with Agus35 on front, again very diffucult lighting conditions. 35mm adaptors do not readily suit agile-portable work as sharp focussing is difficult. |
