New Go35 Pro footage
 

Hello all.

Here's some footage from the Go35 pro. It was shot at a local bookstore, and it was all interior lighting from the store. I forgot to clean the ground glass before I filmed, so there are specks in different places. The compression is great, but high, so there is some grain that you don't see. Oh, and the entire cut is color corrected.

What do you think?

I think the compression is much too high to draw any real conclusions to the performance of the adapter. For a clip that short, can't you post something a little less compressed?

Just an update. I updated the link for the footage. It's now 22mb and it is really high quality.

the bokeh looks good and image is clear and sharp but i can see a little bit of static grain in there. What sort of gg are you using?

I have the same footage posted up, but it's not color corrected. What you see is straight from the camera, flipped in post.

What did you shoot it on?

Am impressed that you managed to do it with available light. Must be quite a bright adaptor. It is still very hard to tell with such a small image as to how bad the grain is (is there any camera added gain?).

The Go-pro needs flipping horizontally and vertically correct?

It needs to be flipped vertically in post.

And for grain, a lot of it is actually camera noise, not the adapter, in most cases when it is too dark.

Wait a sec, so the Go35 has a mirror/prism system in it? If the Go35 is just a straight adapter which I think it is, footage must be rotated 180 degrees *or* flipped both horizontally and vertically.

It needs to be flipped both verically and horizontally in post. There are no corrective elements inside the adapter, and I strongly suggest people shooting with an adapter use an external LCD with flip controls anyhow.

My bad. Sorry, it's vertically & horizontally. When I shoot, I just turn the LCD enough until it flips the image, and then I just lean over the camera and view the screen while filming. It's a bit of a pain.

Has there been any footage shot using any HD Cameras (i.e. HVX, XL-H1, HD110, Etc...)?
