Ah the music. Excellent. And the footage very nice.
Isn't that an M35 rig? Or Micro35? From Redrock? I guess I'm wondering if the SGpro is just a part of another 35mm adapter rig that you use. I can't see on the rig photo where the SGpro is. Am I blind or just confused. Thanks, David |
Hello,
The SGpro is the Box with the lens attached, and also the rails, clamps and sliding plate. If you visit my webpage in my sig, you will find more info on the SGpro. |

Nice one wayne, one of the best samples i've seen so far. Doesn't look like there was much light loss either. I just hope the glass is HD worthy.
|
With the SGpro, how many stops of light do you lose and does it flip the image for you?
|
Hi,
The light loss is about 1 stop, and it does not flip the image, the image recorded to tape is rotated 180 degrees and needs to be rotated back in post. |
is there any image degradation, noise? and how much is this adapter? I'm looking for an adapter and I keep hearing m2 as the one to get. thanks

SGpro's Interchangeable Mounts
Hello guys,
I thought while I had a selection of different lens mounts here at 1 time, I would take some pictures of them to show you guys. In the image from the left is an M42, Canon FD, Nikon F and Canon EOS mount, all aluminium machined. You can see in the picture, the difference in register/flange focal between is actually machined into the mount itself. http://www.sgpro.co.uk/SGpro_mounts.jpg Also have a picture here of a test PL mount on the SGpro: http://www.sgpro.co.uk/pages/gallery...5-1503_IMG.jpg Below is a list of available mounts: Canon FD Canon EOS/EF M42 Contax Leica R Leica M39 Screwmount Minolta MD Nikon F Olympus OM Pentax K PL mount Please let me know what you guys think. |
Nice to see! Now I've placed my SGpro order, I'm even more curious about what other lenses I could be using with all the mounts you have available.
PL mount lenses appear to be quite expensive. How different would the overall look be compared to a decent standard SLR lens? |
Great question, but I know their or more qualified people on this board that can better answer this question. Im sure a set or arri or cooke lenses are going to be sharper then any still lens. They are also designed for the moving image, so no breathing on focus racking...
|
Interesting point. I believe they're also much better designed for focus pulling.

Hello guys,
Over the past year I have acumalated alot of stock of lenses for adapters from test that are brand new, unused. I thought it was time to have a clearout and sell off some of the lenses I simply wont be using. I thought it would be nice to offer the lenses at a cut down price to you guys so you can use them in your DIY adapters/projects. Below is a list of whats on offer: 10x SGpro R2 achromats (yes, the current version!), just the lens, no threaded ring, 10x surplus - £60 each (get it while you can) 3x Glass aspherical condensers (as was used in the SGpro) - 64.1mm dia, 85mm focal length: £10 each 4x Glass DCX condenser - 52mm dia, 78mm focal length - £10 each 2x DCX/BCX condenser lens, anti reflection coated - 50mm dia, 112mm focal length - £10 each 10x Achromat, anti reflection coated - 51mm dia, 182mm focal length - £15 each 10x Achromat, anti reflection coated - 40mm dia, 156mm focal length - £12 each Great for 43mm thread cams or lower# Please email me at info@sgpro.co.uk if interested. |
I have also got some ground glass of various finishes:
Ground glass: 400 grit: 38x26mm - great bokeh. Good for a vibrating/ocsalating design but has larger grain. £15 each 600 grit: 38x26mm - less lightloss, great for a vibrating/ocsalating design. £15 each 1000 grit: 38x26mm - very low lightloss, great for a vibrating/ocsalating design or even a static design. £15 each |
I have sent you e-mail before but you never replied me.
