Mini 35mm up for grabs

I have a mini 35 adapter, nikon mount, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm nikon lenses, as well as a Canon B&W viewfinder. All of these are less than 2 months old. I am interested in selling them. Anyone interested please notify me. Serious inquiries only!!

Rob Lohman March 20th, 2003 11:48 AM

Since this is your first post to this board, could you please elaborate
a bit more?

You are talking about quite expensive equipment which you want
to sell after a small amount of time. Can you please indicate why
you no longer have any interest in this equipment? Do you have
a site with pictures that shows the state of the equipment you
are selling?

A bit more information and background would be welcomed.
Thank you in advance and please post your e-mail address with
your response so that people can e-mail you when interested.

Regards,

35MM up for grabs

Yes, Please forgive my ignorance as I am new this the DVinfo.net community. After going through 2 seperate shoots with the 35mm adapter, it is apparent to me that the ideal set up for this equipment is to have something along the lines of a Cooke s4 prime lens to obtain the optimum look that I am looking for. Unfortunetely, such a lens is not in my budget as of this time, so I will stay with the stadard set up on my XL-1S, and try to add my effects in post. I do not have a website set up currently, but would be happy to email pictures to anyone who may be interested. I attempted to send the item back to ZGC, but I had waited past the 30 day time to return, so thats why I am looking to sell the equipment. I can be reached at rick@peakmarketing.biz

Thanks,

Rick Cousins

Rob Lohman March 21st, 2003 10:14 AM

Thank you for clarifying that, Rick! Much appreciated. I hope you
can work a deal out with someone.

Good luck.

Brad Simmons April 21st, 2003 12:08 AM

Hey Rick, is this still available?

Matt Pope May 5th, 2003 07:13 AM

I'm also wondering if you've still got any of these items available.

Thanks...

mini 35 for sale

I have a p&s technik mini 35 for sale. I would also consider selling the Canon XL1s that I have used with it. I am actually located at the moment in Southern Spain, but the equipment could be viewed in the UK. It is in "as new" condition, not used much and well cared for. My reason for selling is that I need a set-up that is lighter and smaller. Serious enquiries only to mike@mbluestone.com, and then we could talk by phone.

I am asking for offers in the region of £4000 GBP for the mini 35, including both Nikon & Arri PL mounts and of course the relay lens for Canon XL

Elmar Tewes September 15th, 2003 12:02 PM

i bought Mikes mini35 and everything went very good.
don't hestitate sending him money in advance when he has something to sell again, you receive what you bought no matter he's in Spain now or in GB.
i think it's important to mention when a deal went good so everyone in this forum knows who you deal with, especially about deals with expensive items.

Mizell Wilson September 15th, 2003 12:39 PM

Congrats on the purchase Elmar :)

Kevin Burnfield September 3rd, 2004 08:40 AM

Hey Shaun, why don't you start another thread for this.... you've got two so far. ;)

For price reductions, just reply to your first message, don't start another one and for that matter this should be in the Private Classifieds section.

Post some pics of your equipment too, when and where did you buy it? Why are you selling it? Can someone in NYC come by somewhere to look at it??

and anyone looking at this should note that Shaun is a new user here.

Shaun Pi September 3rd, 2004 08:58 AM

DA!

Well kevin burnfield. DA!
if you were here so long then you should know that
The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 2880 minutes after you have posted. since i was willing to take a lower price i needed to edit. thus the new tread. DA!
As for all other info. a serious buyer would contact me and all that info would be obviously given. DA!
Also i don't need to be hassled by people like you who is not interested in the Mini.
DA! DA! DA!

Charles Papert September 3rd, 2004 10:12 AM

Shaun, I'm not an expert on internet slang, but that DA! thing seems awfully childish to me, and since you are looking to make a transaction involving serious money, I would think you would be interested in establishing yourself as a serious person here.

Kevin suggested that you reply to your message, not edit it. This is even better than editing, because this will reactivate your thread to appear in a search of new posts and expose it to more members.

We look out for each other on dvinfo.net, and try to keep things civil and organized, i.e. avoiding multiple postings. I've done it myself on the odd occasion and was also reminded about it.

Interested

Dear Mike,
You mentioned that the adaptor that you have will work with Panasonic.
Will it work with Panasonic AG-HVX200?
I suppose that the main unit will, but I would need an adaptor for that camera, right? Or would I?
What is included in the package? And would you ship it to L.A.?
Sincerely Kesha

Nick Hiltgen May 22nd, 2006 09:24 AM

this should probably get moved to the classified section if it's still available.

P+S Technik Mini35 for sale

3 Attachment(s)
This is a used P+S Technik Mini 35 Adaptor - the most current model (400 series). It is in near perfect condition and in perfect working order, and was also recently professionally cleaned at the P+S Technik US service center in New Jersey. It is being sold with an XL mount (for use with a Canon XLH1/ XL-2/XL-1/XL-1S) and a Nikon lens adaptor (for use with any standard Nikon or Nikor fitting photographic lenses). It should be noted that additional mounts and adaptors are available from P+S Technik to allow use with many other prosumer cameras and cine-lenses. The Mini 35 is not available for sale seperately (without the mount and adaptor), although offers for just the XL mount and/or the Nikon adaptor will be considered.

Asking $9,000.00 US
This unit is currently in Hollywood, CA

Cody Mielke September 26th, 2006 11:52 AM

Lee Alford October 4th, 2006 11:18 AM

was sleeptight movie shot with this. can i buy a jvc mount for this? whats the difference between the 300 and 400 model?

Dave Frank October 4th, 2006 01:23 PM

Lee,

Yes I shot this an another feature film: Young and Vulnerable Years with this system. I loved it so much ont the first one that I upgraded to an XL-2 for the second film and loved the image quality even more. The difference between the 300 and 400 series is the way the ground glass moves. The 300 series has a spinning ground glass. This really never becomes an issue unless you have a need to stop down your lens for larger depth of field, but if your like me, I never stopped the lens down more than 2.8/3.5

Not to mention that the whole point of the mini35 is to have small depth of field anyway.

Carlos Quinones October 11th, 2006 03:31 AM

Nice shots....

If you really did the movie with the series 300, wowo congratulations...
I don't get to have a good image with my 300 series...
I got the system with a XL-H1...and the colors just don;t looki to good to me.
I bought this product about 5 month ago, and still haven't done too much.

If you could send me a clip of your other movie, as I told you I'm not getting a good image...and I'm looking at other peoples jobs to compare...
Thanks...

Carlos Quinones,
carlos@itswrittenproductions.com

Carlos Quinones October 11th, 2006 03:39 AM

How much ???

Hello How much are you selling the Mini 35 it self and the Nikkn adapter...?

Carlos Quinones,
carlos@itswrittenproductions.com

Dave Frank December 6th, 2006 05:42 PM

Price reduced to $4200. Thanks!

Dennis Hingsberg December 7th, 2006 12:00 PM

Carlos - you mean the colors are not good or the image quality, such as resolution is not good?

I'm just curious because I've shot series 300 with XL1se (PAL version for easy 24p conversion) and now shoot with XL2 (see my site for last film project shot on XL2) and find the image pretty darn good.

I've debated going to the HD camera but think for that you really need a series 400 and so far I have not been impressed with any online samples shot in HD with the mini35.

Anyone know of any "amazing" mini35 HD samples out there?

Cheers all.

Jonas Nystrom December 17th, 2006 05:12 AM

I suppose that you Mini35 is gone at this point?

Jonas Nystrom December 17th, 2006 06:09 AM

Is your Mini35 gone as well or are you still selling?

Dennis Hingsberg December 21st, 2006 10:08 AM

This unit has been sold as of December 11th 2006 when last I spoke to Cody.

Dave Frank February 10th, 2007 04:06 AM

Buyer backed out. I am relisting this.

$4,000, including shipping.

Local pickup preferred though.
