35 mm adapter fliping
Can we mount the 35mm adapter backwards to a pro lens on hpx500 and get image the correct way.
|
how do you mount the lens backwards? No matter how you mount it, the light is going to go in the same way
|
There's a nobel prize in physics waiting if you can figure out how to flip the light-rays around.
It would be simpler and cheaper simply to buy an external monitor and mount it upside down. |
I can't believe this...
For how long are 35MM adapters around? Can't camera firmwares have flip option? Can't new cameras come with this option? |
Flip Issue Resolutions:
1. As far as flipping image as it appears on tape, you can actually shoot camera upside down. I built setup that did that with my small HV20. You still have to feed to an external monitor, because the lcd still show image upside down. Not good option for bigger cameras. 2. With my FX1, I can tape a magnet on left corner of button plate underneath the LCD, and it flips the image. You may have to slide it around a bit before you get the result. Image will still be upside down on tape. 3. Cineform can be set up to automatically flip at capture. 4. I bought a Letus Flip unit and matched it with my old Letus 35a. It works great, and should work with all manner of adapters. About $600 USD though. |
