Infinity not in focus.
I've tried to get infinity into focus on my letus and my hv20 with no success despite using every nikon lens I have from 35mm on up to 105mm. Focus works great from anywhere inside sixty feet. Any suggestions or comments would be helpful.

This is a collimation issue meaning your nikon lens mount is not the correct distance from the imaging plane. We call this feature "micro-collimation" and have a video on the subject on our site. It's a different adapter but the same principles apply. Hope that helps.

Matt: You have to get the flange( backend ) of Nikon Lens about 46.5mm from the ground glass. In my old Letus 35a, I have to do it by manually adjusting the screen on the suspension posts.
I think the new Letus rigs have adjusting screws. When you can't reach infinity, it means you will have to move the screen a bit closer to the lens. If you focus through infinity, you have to increase the distance. |
Matt.
Could you advise which model Letus you have? |
This is useful info. I'm having a similar backfocus issue with my version of the Daniel Schweinert adaptor. My footage is coming out a little soft at infinity.
