New Product Image Film done with LEX
Hi there,
here is a new product image film I made these days: Not final version yet - but close to... :-) Low quality (13 MB) http://www.rafaelmetz.com/INTROS/LINA_010508_SM.mov High quality (110 MB) http://www.rafaelmetz.com/INTROS/LINA_010508.mov Done with: LEX / HVX / 720p 50fps / Nikon Lenses / Final Cut Pro / After Effects Greetings Rafael |
hi Rafael
Really nice work, you've got there. What did you use for camera movements? Thanks |
Some really nice transitions (the hallway with the 1,2,3 numbers) is really well done. Music is a good piece for this video. The editing overall has a good flow and the colour, exposure and lighting is good.
I thought it looked like vignetting on the left for the doctor walkbys, or was that the look desired? All the slowmo of the patient/doctor looks good but eventually gets a little tired/overdramatic? Will there be an narration over this? The only thing missing to me seems to be a narrative speaker emphasising/explaining the services. What focal lengths were used? Good stuff |

Cheers! |
This is great on so many levels! How did you do the open Doctor/room dissolve with a dolly move? Did you have motion control? Dissolving out the Dr. during the dolly move is MOST impressive. Excellent shots, great depth of field, transitions were excellent as well.
Great job! |
Some really nice stuff there! Great AE work and the dollies are stellar. Wheres it going to be used? I think the use of clo-mo is fine throughout but agree there could be some VO in there to get the message across. I wasnt sure what I was watching until over 1/2way through. Is this tradeshow stuff or going to be running on the product site?

The vignetting is a result of the wide angle lens (18mm and 24mm Nikons) and because the LEX is off center on the HVX (a meanwhile known issue). We´re thinking of an off speaker - it was planned without one but I think that it would be good to have one, too. Focal lengths (all Nikon): 18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, 135mm Greetings Rafael |

We shot this one as a plate with a timed dolly movement and with the doctor in the same timing. We did two takes (plate and with doctor) and they matched. |
