Will you be posting full res HD footage and stills?
|
Ram,
I can answer some of your questions based on what I know at this time: 1- dose it handle the problem withe white wall and bright part in the sky Yes. This has been confirmed to no longer be an issue. 2- can i shoot on higher shutter speed (like 1/100 or 1/200) The GG motor runs at the same speed but the Extreme has a new GG element that is much finer that will work with higher shutter speeds. I will test this myself for sure when our units come in here. 3- is the lens mount is still tight with screw The new lens mount uses 3 screws for tension instead of the single thumb screw found on previous models. This will provide greater lens stability. 5- is it include shipping I believe Quyen is still offering free shipping. LetusDirect also has free shipping. Once I get the Extreme in my hands, I'll get some samples posted comparing the Letus Flip to the new Letus Extreme. People are going to be blown away by this thing. Quyen has taken an already great product to new levels. These adapters are going to sell fast so if you are on the fence, I would suggest getting on the growing waiting list. |
please post 2 types of footage. indoor and fast motion.
These 2 things define would rich you will be in the next year. LOL. |
XL-h1
Sounds great. Will this adapter come in a version form the cannon XL-h1?
|
Wow - 1/2 stop of light loss!!!
Is there a trade in value for previous customers or say for a fee you could MOD my XL version with an extreme? -C |

Quyen:
How well does this version work with the HV20. Have you tested it with that camera ? |

I called Letus to get a few questions answered:
- length of unit: ~135mm (depending on stepdown rings) - F/R vertical offset: 44mm - an adjustable Adapter-to-rails mount is currently in the works. From what I understand, it will consist of a post that attaches directly to a threaded hole in the bottom of the adapter. - a bayonet mount (for cameras like the HPX500) is also in the works. It all depends on the footage, but this looks good. |

does it work with HD100 ?
Does this replace the LetusHD100 version? |
Quyen says that he has a "Extremed" HD100 version coming in 3-6 months... I'm looking for it too....
|
convinced me. Am in the queue. Looks too good to be true. I have just bought an XDCAM EX and I think this could be perfect with it.
|
A question to Quyen. Will the new hd100 extremeversion have the same 1,9 crop factor or will it cover the whole 35mm field of view?
|
I wonder if there will be a letus introduced with the JVC mount, but a non-flip version, to suit the HD200 and HD250 which have their own built in image flip?
|
Would the Extreme work with smaller cams as well as with bigger ones like with Canon HV20 and A1? From what I have experienced when a adapor works fine with one it will vignette vith the other...
Cheers, T |
Is that the Canon A1 or Sony A1?
|
Oh, I meant the adaptor interchangeability between the Canon XH A1 and Canon HV20 without adjustments to the optical system.
Another thing that keeps me on this board lately is that when will the evergreen sharp-or-not bokeh issue pop out as light loss and so called sharp-edged bokeh quality are quite a bit related so you can`t get both as fas as I know. But that`s the issue with only really boring content. Cheers, T |
New York area Letus Extreme available for you to check out
Hey folks. I am working with the Le brothers as a product rep. I have a Letus Extreme and some Canon FD lenses (24mm f2.0, 50mm f1.4, 200mm f2.8) attached to an HVX 200 that I use to demo the Letus Extreme. It is available for you to fiddle with and do some test footage in NYC. I am happy to meet with you to let you see what this thing can do. It is a truly amazing device and brings a lot of excitement and fun back to shooting. If you want to get on a list for a demo day to be held at a large NYC photo video retailer, send me an email and I will put you on the list. - dravani@gmail.com

Directly from Quyen himself:
- Will Letus EX work with HV20 without vignetting? There will be no vignetting. - How long would it take setting Letus Ex each time you need it? Set up will be less than 5 minutes (also depending on the rail system you have) I'll be using it with HV20 and Z1 so I think Extreme will be my choice. Regards |
