Lightwave Equalizer / shock mount

Two questions:
1. does anyone have experience with the Lightwave Equalizers? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...indscreen.html
Better than a Mike Muff?

2. I have a Rode SM3 shockmount. Works fine on top of my camera but when I mount it on a boom, my AT897 slips thru it pretty easily. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced boom shock mount that can handle the weight of a shotgun mic and Equalizer?

Peter, does your shockmount use o-rings to suspend the mic? I ask because those o-rings stretch over time and won't hold the mic securely. May be time to replace them.

As for the lightwave equalizer, I have one that I used on my XL stock mic and it worked very well.

Greg - the SM3 (and hence it's o-rings) are only a couple of months old. I thouught about heftier o-rings, but it seems what is needed is more surface area to create friction on the body of the mic.
