ECM-DS70P Stereo Microphone best uses?

This came bundled with my Sony MZ-M100. I took it to a laundry-mat for some room tone tests. OMG, this thing is amazing.

So I'm wondering, what SHOULD I be using it for? Indoor/outdoor, twos, threes, mores?
