Wireless mic peaking...
I just videoed a wedding and had my new Sony Wireless mic on the groom. I had my head phones pluggin into the reciever (don't ask me why i didn't plug in to the camera) but I was getting nice clear audio through the mic, but I found out later that I had my camera gain turned up to much and now when there is someone talking loudly it distorts. Is there anything you can do for that or should I just learn from my mistake. I have two other audio tracks I can work from. so this is not my only option.

Re: Wireless mic peaking...
I just learned that Izotope has a de-clipping effect that seems to work pretty well.

Re: Wireless mic peaking...
Most of the 'de-clipping' and 'peak clip restoration' processes can effectively re-draw instances of a few digital 'overs'. Severe digital clipping and analog input stage distortion are another matter and often impossible to fix by any means
