Has anyone used the Bracket 1
has anyone had any experience with the bracket 1. I'd love to know if the design gives adequate clearance to hand hold the camera comfotably.
Thanks Beas |
Is this the one you meant?
http://porterscamerastore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=13-0389&Category_Code=F3C Looks like it would be kind of tight for the LCD to swing out. Did you want to use it with your VX2000 or a smaller camera? Clearance, balance and cost were the reasons I used a flat bracket and added my own handle downward. |
Don't you already use the mini-rover... or mighty wonder cam? If you're looking for something a little different but in the same category I've been really happy with my little stratos bracket from B&H.
Stratos Bracket Click HERE. They come in red, blue, gold... and my favorite, black. The little "arm" on top moves too so you can raise a light or mic... and you can adjust the whole thing as needed. The verticle post attaches to the base plate with a heavy allen screw and it's all very secure. It's pretty cheap too. |
i use a bracket1 on my dvx100. i have 2 lectrosonics 100 wireless receivers vecro'd together and mounted on the inside of the bracket. works great.
oh - and i go handheld all the time with it - no issues. |
Thanks Brian
I want to velcro my mix pre ton the bracket and wonered how much clearance there is between the body and the bracket (right side) Jay That's not the unit. It's built to hold wireless receivers and the upright is suppose to be offset from the camera and far enough forward so that you can still get your right hand into the camera strap http://www.bracket1.com Matt look at the link, you'll see what i'm talking about. I want the mixpre on the right side of the camera. |
Oh yeah... sorry. I remember you asking about that once before.
Seems like a good idea. Hopefully somebody got one of these and has some comments on it... is it me or have these forums slowed down a bit? Must be the dog-days of summer. |
