Gain across apps
 

In Final Cut I target between -12dB and -6dB, and am okay as long as it doesn't reach zero. When I bring in any MP3 or WAV, the volume that it comes in at is about 6dB too loud. A little confusing, but I adjust.

But in Encore I bring in my WAV file for menu music and, like FCP, it's also 6dB too loud. So my menus are loud, and my clips are quiet. I'm missing something...
