This mic is described as a sensitive undirectional cardioid. Does this mean it will pick up my fingers taping on the side of my cam? My feet shuffling? My lens zooming? How far forward and to the sides does this baby pick up? Is it a stereo mic? What's this mic for? Musical instruments?

Any mic is sensitive to those distractions and requires isolation. This unfortunately adds cost to the setup. in my opinion a smaller camera really needs an L bracket to separate the mic from the camera body and allow ffor a stable mounting of an effient shock mount.

I;m headed out to Toronto today. i'll try and stop and have a look at some mics.
