Center channel blues
How do you get Premiere Pro 1.5 to produce center channel voiceover in a dual mono or stereo mix?
I have been told it's not possible! If that is so how on earth could you produce a doco on Premiere? |
What's your input and output audio format (mono/stereo/5.1)?

Well there is stereo location sound plus mono interviews and of course mono voiceover and let's not forget stereo music.

OK, it's not a problem then.
In your sequence just make a new mono audio track, select it and in the audio mixer window for that track select microphone icon (Enable track for recording). Then from the menu that will appear above the icon select the device you wish to record from. Next press the record button at the bottom of the audio mixer window. The recording will start after you push play button for the sequence. Press stop to stop :) A WAV file will automatically be created for you and inserted in the selected track. Mono track is centered in stereo master, you can pan this any way you want in the audio mixer. |
If you have a voiceover ready, just drop it into the timeline, new mono track will be created for you. No problem at all.

Thanks Bart.
I'll go for it. |
