Audio editing in pro 1.5- left and right channel
 

ok, i'm having a little issue here not sure if htis is normal or what since i dont do much audio stuff until now.

I'm getting strong sound out of the left channel as i should, now i want to have strong sound coming out of the right one.

So as i read here ppl said to copy the audio, put it on another track and do a fill RIGHT.
I did that but now i'mjust getting stronger left and the right is still kinda sucky.
how do i make this work

Rather than fill, just go into the audio mixer, place a Channel Volume effect on the track. Then set the volume on the right up some, and the volume on the left down a bit. Play it back and see if the meters are more equal.

should i be expecting an equal sounding left and right? one side is always lower and if i mess aroudn to much it becomes metalic

im using crappy speakers so i dont know whats right and what it should sound like...

If you don't mess with the left channel at all and use the Fill Right, it should exactly match the left (ch 1) channel. May want to take a look and see if you have changed the balance settings towards the left channel.

All the suggestions are right on track however there is one more thing that you can do but if it's for more than a few tracks this will drive you crazy.

From the bin where the video clip is sitting, highlight the clip and select clip from the Windows menu bar, under audio you should be able to break out the audio to 2 mono tracks, your bin will fill with 2 tracks below the video track.

You then need to add a couple of mono tracks to the timeline but you can then add the newly created mono tracks to individual channels on the timeline and mix to your hearts content with the audio mixer.

I use this when I do long segments like wedding ceremonies, if there are a lot of clips then you can get lost with all the extra audio tracks. But for a wedding when I have several mono wireless and wired mic sources, this is really perfect.
