Exporting as QuickTime

Exporting a timeline as a Quicktime .MOV file using the default settings in CS5 results in a massive file. A 3-minute, 30-second HDV video clocked in at 781 MB ... and even though "NTSC DV Widescreen" is selected as the preset, the final product doesn't even seem to be 16 x 9. The automatic Video Codec comes up as DV25 NTSC, but is there another codec (perhaps H.264 or MPEG-4) that will play on a client's Mac and may result in a smaller file. Thanks very much.

Quiktime files exported from premiere looks like 4:3 in quicktime player - although they are 16:9.
If you want to produce a smaller file you should use H264 - probably you would not see the difference in quality when played back on the laptop.

Thanks very much for that.
