Premiere marks previously ok video as offline
 

Hello,

I have just fired up a project that I have recently been working on. However all my footage is marked as offline. I went to re-link it and get a "File Import Error" that says "unsupported format or damaged file".

The clips load fine in media player/VLC etc but not back into Premiere!

Any ideas please? I really really need to carry on with my work.

Premiere CS4, MPEG HDV clips from JVC HD111

So I got the answer.

The latest patch 4.1.0 seemed to remove the support for MPEG and therefore my HDV clips were now no longer supported. The only way to solve this according to the Adobe Forums was to uninstall CS4 completely, run the CS4 clean tool and then reboot and reinstall. Apparently because I once ran the software as a trial then this caused this problem. Nice one Adobe!
