CS4 update problems?
 

Anyone else having CS4 update problems?

I'm running XpSP3, and can't use my monitor card until I update from PPro CS4.0

I've downloaded the update zip file, then try to click the setup.exe file inside. It just locks up, and the manager says "This program is no longer responding"...

anyone know what I'm doing wrong? do I need a seperate "installer" program?

When I originally transfered the 'update zip files' onto my editing computer, I thought they were automacally unzipped, because a new folder was created for each, with the same name as the zip, containing a number of folders and files, including the "setup.exe" file.

But apparently these elements hadn't been properly extracted from the zip file.

so when I went back and extracted each zip file, the 'setup.exe' worked perfectly.
