I just wanted to let everyone know that this card does indeed work with the Sony AX2000 & NX5u with no errors or issues. It's currently the fastest card you can buy for these 2 Sony Cameras. They are Super fast @ 95 MB/s.

Also using 2 of these is cheaper than the FMU and keeps the cameras lighter having 128GB internal rather than external on the camera.

Just to confirm, I assume by "fastest" you mean transferring data from the card to your computer right?

This is from SanDdisk site:

I am using the SanDisk Extreme® SDHC™ UHS-I Cards 32GB (nearly half the price than the Pro) for my NX5 with no problems at all.

No - I mean actual use being the fastest. Fastest card while filming - writing to the actual card. Lots of head room - card can keep up with anything your throw at it.

I was just letting everyone know the top end 64GB version does indeed work flawless.

I'm not trying to discredit you. I just want to make sure I understand before I consider purchasing. Isn't the maximum bitrate for AVCHD 24 MBit/s ? That would be way below the speed of the card. Or am I missing the difference between the two?

i'm always a little nervous of having a big card, because in the event of a failure you lose big too! I have a mix of 16's and 32 Gb cards on my HXR-NX5 SDH and Memory Stick Duo, seem to work quite well. All class 6 or 10.
Would love to have the 128GB FMU but the cost here is crazy something like $1,200 !!

I can see having the 64GB for size and "speed while offloading" but I still would like to know if the NX5 or any AVCHD camera can write to a card any faster then 24 mbit/s? Can anyone answer that for me?

Since the NX5u as well as the AX2000 are rated for a class 4 and up card I see no benefit in buying the more expensive Extreme cards....they are not going to write any faster than their current rate on the extreme ...Also the sony cams are not coming anywhere close to writing faster than the current crop of SD cards can handle, unless of course you buy a really cheap knock off that lies about its advertised write speeds....

Dave,the camcorder writes in sequences, not continuously on the card. So the bigger the write speed, the better. The buffer will be ready for more information quicker to avoid bottlenecks. That's why people want faster speeds. Any decent memory card can sustain 24mbit/s.

Just finished recording a Choir concert that lasted a little over 2 1/2 hours...Transcend Cards were recording continously in my NX5U and AX2000, both cards performed flawless...
