'Configuration Changes not allowed - unplug i.LINK cable'
First, thanks for the forum, it played a big role before I bought the Z1E.
I get the following message in my menu: 'Configuration Changes not allowed - unplug i.LINK cable', in the IN/OUT REC Menu, VCR Mode. Even if the there is no iLink cable plugged in I still get this message. I plug one in the message is still there. The message is always there. If I turn the downconver ON (which tells me I am not allowed to do) the light changes to DV mode which lets me beleive that it works. Does anyone know why? thanks David www.davidhands.com |

According to Park Ridge people (Sony US professional headquarters) it's just a programmed error message for reasons of safety of the internal processors. I'd assume that means CYA. I've learned to ignore it.

Yeah, I've noticed that it always says that too and never quite understood what it was supposed to mean...
