Sony A7S at Formula Drift
Here's my first run-and-gun shoot with the Sony A7S. This was Round 5 of the 2014 Formula Drift Championship. No interviews in this one, since I only filmed 1 hour of practice and then the top 16.
Most footage was filmed at 1080/60p, super-slomo was filmed at 720/120p. Lenses include the Tamron SP f/2.8 70-200 and Sony Zeiss FE f/4 24-70. Sound courtesy of a Rode Videomic. Sideways in Seattle: FD Round 5 | Driving Sports TV |

Re: Sony A7S at Formula Drift
I think it looked great but I noticed focusing was a bit of a challenge sometimes :) but I guess that's will always be the case with full frame camera's even if you stop down the lens. The slomo worked out great.

Re: Sony A7S at Formula Drift
The focus issue was primarily because I was switching between the Zeiss 24-70 and the Tamron 70-200 which have completely different focus rings and are both new lenses to my hands. Right after this, I bought the matching Tamron 24-70. With some more practice I'll get it nailed. ;)
