Here's a recent project we finished for a non-profit's annual banquet:
Famous Davis Portfolio - Southwest Initiative Foundation "What Matters Most"

It was shot with an HD100u, with just a few b-roll shots from a Canon XL2.

Art Institute of Philadelphia Scholarship Video Contest Winner

I recently won a full tuition scholarship to the Art Institute of Philadelphia for winning a video contest with a short film shot on my HD-110.

YouTube - Quake (HD) - Art Institute of Philadelphia Contest Winner!

Watching it now I see nothing but mistake after mistake and hacky line after hacky line, but I'm still proud of the job I did. I had the camera about a month total when I shot it. I'm currently saving up for the 13x Fujinon lens... I'd love any comments or criticism on the film!

Hello,

I did a quick n' dirty VFX test with the HD110e with stock lens in an abandoned lace mill next to my office.

It was shot in 10 minutes and put together in an afternoon using After Effects, Pftrack and FCP

I'd like to know more about how you shot the video. How long did it take? What was the budget? Did you use a 35mm lens adapter, which one, etc.

Cooking Show

Hey everybody, haven't been on here for a while. Just got around to putting a few episodes of our cooking show online. Everything has been shot with HD100's and 200's. Nothing too crazy. I have an EX3 now as well but this show is all JVC. I was especially surprised on the Party Animal episode as it was so dark and all we used were a small 25w Frezzi, turned out great I thought. Hope you enjoy it.

TreQuarti (Three Quarters)

YouTube - TreQuarti ThreeQuarters - Trailer ENG

TreQuarti - ThreeQuarters - is an independent, no-budget feature film written, produced and directed by Roberto Longo.

Camera - JVC GYHD100E with stock lens

SYNOPSIS
In an unrecognizable Milan, cold and inhuman, the marital relationship by Eva and Daniel floats through a sea made of half-truths and rigid daily routine. When the ability to hide his nature, that Daniele has always made a shield, crumbles unexpectedly, he will face his fearsome instincts, and a man came from afar affect the fragile balance of the couple.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
I wanted TreQuarti to be a very visual film; one that I haven't seen before, with a voyeuristic and almost "random" feel to the story. It has very little dialogue because I wanted to highlight the indirect, visual communication that over familiarized couples often rely upon. Instead the loud, modern city speaks for itself – a constant backdrop where loneliness, perversion and ambiguity have nowhere to hide.

CAST - LEADING ACTORS
Magdalena Strauchmann - Massimo Muntoni - Daniele Ferrari

CAST - SUPPORTING ACTORS:
Camilla Cattaneo - Max Bannò - Sara Pesenti

CREW
written, directed and edited by Roberto Longo - music by Alex Baranowski - sound design by Francesco Franchina

TECHNICAL DATA
Completed on: June 09
Country: Italy
Location: Milan - Italy
Running time: 75'
Shooting format: Video HD 720 24P, 1.78:1 Color
Screening formats: Digital Cinema Package, Digitalbeta PAL, DVD master PAL/NTSC
Budget: 2000€

Music video shot on HD100. They had a budget of 12 dollars lol.

I did the shooting and editing, Premiere Pro CS4, After Effects CS4, Magic Bullet Looks.

And I am NOT a special effects guy by any means, but 12 dollars doesn't hire a real one :-)

The Impossible Murder

The Impossible Murder is out on DVD.

An old lady is killed in a locked room while five witnesses outside hear her scream for help. When the door is broken down, she is lying in a pool of blood with no sign of the killer or the murder weapon. The police, under pressure from the press and public, arrest the maid and she is sentenced for a crime she didn’t commit.

Why would anybody kill a helpless old woman?
Even more incredibly, how was the crime committed?
