Tramm,
This is a cool concept - when you're not so busy trying to crack the 7d overheating issue. please post more about this.

On the 7D front, I'm hoping that Canon releases a firmware fix for the overheating problem since getting a dump from the camera without a "known good" firmware file is proving to be difficult. |

Thanks Tramm,
I want to try this sometime. Maybe we can start a "Pinhole Lens - Film Festival"

Use matte black foil (available from Lee Filters) for a less obvious, more covert approach.
Can't wait to try this out once I can locate a spare body cap. Thanks Tramm, |

The black foil would likely also prevent this weird reflection problem when shooting into the sun.

I've used the same technique to take still pictures on my EOS100. I'm sure I've seen the maths somewhere that tells you the optimum size of the pinhole to use, and of course it's frame size dependent. Too small and diffraction loses you sharpness, too large and ditto. There's a critical 'sweet spot'.

There is a bloke that sells these for $20 - $30. Have a look. Do you think it's worth it or can I get the same results doing the same myself for a couple of bucks.
it's the Canon Pinhole Lens Cap about 2/3 of the way down on the page: paypal p.s. I love the Canon mount Holga lens above them. Definitely gonna get one of them.
