Many thanks again for the ever continuing updates. The 3D tool set is truly impressive by now and the the overall stability is feeling very solid.
A question: When you speak of "Fixed: Side-by-side 3D decoding with a rotation correction." I assume you are referring to side-by-side presentation of a stereo stream. Would there be any possibility of a function that would read side-by-side stereo streams? We shoot with a mirror box that yields a RE and LE image side-by-side in the same video stream and it would be very helpful to us to be able to go through our thousands of Express files, apply our LUTs and grading and then view them directly in FirstLight in 3D. I suspect making 3D corrections might not be possible since these are single rather than muxed files but just the ability to grade and then view them in FirstLight would be a big help. We can view these Express files now in 3D viewers such as Stereoscopic Player but the ability to view them in 3D directly in FirstLight would be a huge help for us if that were to prove possible. Many thanks. |

The previous beta has all the NeoScene updates. Posted a few days earlier.

Minor changes, as I don't think everything got into build 296, so here is the latest full beta.

Is this build fix the problem preventing transcoding HDV material on the fly with NeoScene?

We do know a few PCs are no longer converting HDV on the fly, but not all systems. We have not discover the cause yet, so it is not in this build. We will list such a bug fix when it comes. We are scheduling to tackle that issue in the next few weeks.

Thanks David. In the mean time, I am using build 261, which works fine. However, I'm also using Neoscene to transcode my 7D files. Do you think I should use the most current build for 7D files and revert to 261 for HDV stuff or is the build 261 is just as good as the last one for the 7D files?

The later version is better for 7D conversion (very subtle but better.)

I also cannot capture HDV->CineForm with HDLink/Neoscene. Was about to submit a support ticket, I didn't know this was a known bug.
How can I download the 261 build? I cannot find any mention of downloading older builds on the site. Many thanks, Jon. |

The Cineform support team provided me with this link: http://www.cineform.com/downloads/Ne...261-100615.zip in answer to my ticket.

Thanks for the link.
Finaly I can capture HDV from HDLink :) I hope you guys at CineForm fix this bug soon. I know HDV is a dying format, in fact I myself bought NeoScene only when I got the 60D. But now that I have it I would like to use it for my HDV captures as well, without missing out on the improvements of new builds. For what it's worth, here's the error I was getting in build 288, under W7x64 |

Fl bug
PASTE of keyframes.
1. Copy keyframes (I have look, debayer, primaries, WB all modified) 2. Paste Keyframe at alternate point in timeline. 3. Timeline scrubber jumps back to the beginning of the timeline. - If I press play, it plays from the keyframe I was last at. -If I press 'jump ahead keyframe button' it goes to the next keyframe from the start of the timeline. solution: after pasting a keyframe, the scrubber should stay on that keyframe that is pasted. *note, I have had occasions where this works flawlessly, other times, without fail, it will always jump to the beginning of the timeline. |

In the older software we relied on the H.264 decoder doing somewhat correct 4:2:0 to 4:2:2, when we filtered the result for greater image improvement. We have since determined we can do better than the source H.264 decoder and handle the full 4:2:0 to 4:2:2 in out own filters. Some of the results are covered in this blog entry CineForm Insider: Why use an intermediate for DSLR video?
