ADR? Here's a quick VocALign DEMO i just did.

I was just testing out my new screen capture app "SnapZ Pro" and made this little demo. It's not a full tutorial, as I didn't get into all the particulars of setting up VocALign, but once you have it in the right insert of your DAW it's as easy as this:

PRAISE THE LORD,

You have shown me the light and solved a problem.

God bless you my son.

Great Vincent! I'll actually be updating this demo a bit over the next day or 2, providing more information. I'm using this demo as a way to train myself on the screen capture app called Snapz Pro. I just discovered I can zoom my Mac desktop by hitting "Control" and scrolling my mouse wheel! So though Snapz does not zoom I can still record the MAC zoom and get the same effect.

It's the little things that excite me...

It's often the small applications that are the most useful. I use Windows 7 and use Camtasia for all my screen captures, It is excellent for producing tutorials and has full editing facility, although the audio module is not that good. I tend to export the sound track and edit it in Audition or SoundForge and then re-import it again as a new sound track. Camtasia is also available for the Mac, here is the link

TechSmith | Camtasia Screen Recorder Software, Home

Thanks for the Vocalign demo, nice to know a tool like that is available if I need to do ADR...

I highly recommend Screenflow (Screencasting Software - ScreenFlow Overview - Telestream) as a much better alternative to Snapz - it lets you record everything and then add zooms, transitions and other effects after the fact. Haven't tried the mac version of Camtasia, but the interface looks pretty familiar - it's almost a straight knock off of Screenflow.

Yeah I just dropped 70.00 on Snapz without researching it at all. There is no editing this stuff. It just makes the movie.
