More HV30 Footage from Haifa - Purim Festival

Another video from my recent trip to Haifa. This one's a bit longer because there was a lot to see at the festival. Music was written last weekend and recorded on Sun 27 Apr.

Music Video with the HV20/IOHD

here's a music video I just finished up. I used an A1 for the live action stuff, and an hv20 and iohd for all the green screen comp stuff. (I'd have used the hv20 for everything, but it couldn't get as wide as I'd have liked for the interior stuff)

I edited in FCP and did all the compositing/FX using Motion.

It's in 720p on Vimeo.

Wow...EXCELLENT work on the effects!!!

Just morbidly curious...how many post production hours do you have into this?

1000ish... Probably closer to 2000ish for the entire project. And I did literally everything... Creative concepts Shooting editing graphics etc. My bro helped for a day or two to cut some cityscapes out until it bogged his g5 down too much.

I started prepro in mid dec shot most of the city plates in early jan, shot the green screen in feb and finished the live action stuff in march/April. So yeah I lost count a while ago but about 5 mos of pretty grueling stuff. And I learned the limits of the FCS workflow pathways which cost me many many hours if not weeks.

My first music video clip of an indie rock band

At last, it happened. My first music video clip. This is the best I could do with the amount of footage I had in my disposal (I shot only 2/3s of a tape as we were there for less than two hours). View in HD, or download the high quality HD version of the video here: http://vimeo.com/1036463

Read all about it, including which tools I used and how, on my detailing article at OSNews: http://osnews.com/story/19767/The_Ne...ic_Video_Clips

HV20 + Letus Extreme + Nikon 85mm f1.4 / Nikon 17-35mm f2.8

Test shots using that combo and color grading in FC and MB Looks.
Starred by my lovely niece Candela.

Edit: Here you can see a 1080p frame direct from camera and 720p graded. 85mm is a great lens

HV30 + close-up lens

Here is a short video with the HV30 in 30p mode. I used a 35 year old set of close-up lenses made by Vivitar that were relics from my first 35mm camera. Depth of field was extremely narrow and of course the instant autofocus had to be shut off. The spider scene was zoomed in during post.
